Overview

The Bulldog also known English Bulldog is jovial, social and amusing. The English Bulldog is compact, Wide, medium-sized with short legs. The head and body are big with extra skin on head falling in folds. The cheeks spread up to the eyes. Broad nose with large nostrils, short muzzle, folded ears, massive protruding jaws, hanging upper lips – these are some of distinctive features of the English Bulldog. The Coat is short, smooth and glossy.

Its good with children, and a little bit friendly towards strangers. Though sometimes aggressive they do quite well with other dogs and pets

The English Bulldog was originally bred in England sometime around 1500’s for bull baiting. These dogs were bred for pure fighting capacity and were famous for latching onto their opponents with iron like jaw. English Bulldogs popularity fell when the bull baiting was banned in around 1800’s. However, the English Bulldog is a very popular pet in USA
