Overview

The German Shepherds are medium to large sized dogs, strong and muscular dogs. The outstanding good looks and its amazing intelligence combined with its loyalty has made it a favorite companion. The essential features of German Shepherd are erect ears, low set natural tail with a slight curve. German Shepherds are slightly longer than height and have medium length Coat.German Shepherds are fearless and confident. They are highly alert, eager and adapt well to new tasks.

German Shepherd is a relatively young breed, developed by a German cavalry officer, Max von Stephanitz, using a variety of sheep dogs. Von Stephanitz highlighted usefulness and intelligence in his breeding program, enabling the German Shepherd to switch easily from herding job to other fields of work, particularly military and police work.
