Overview

The Maine Coon is also known as “Gentle Giant”, much like Great Dane in the dog world. Maine Coons are large in size with males growing up to 18 pounds and females up to 16.  They have long and shaggy coat close to the body, tufted paws and large ears with furry tufts.

The Maine Coon is outgoing, social and a keen intellect. They are easily trainable and can be taught to walk on leash. They are affectionate, playful and get along well with children and other cats and dogs.

The Maine Coon is a perfect family cat with children and other pets.
